Mana was the leader of the supreme art group MALICE MIZER. Besides playing the guitar in the band Moi Dix Mois, Mana also plays with another band called Mana’s Not Dead. Mana’s Not Dead is the rock band that Mana formed in high school. Mana’s Not Dead consists of Mana (Drums), Mana’s cousin Katsuo (Vocals) and friends from high school Hirotoma (Guitar) and Nagosystem (Bass). In December 2007, Mana’s Not Dead performed at a event organized by Mana called Dis inforno. The group played songs by The Star Club, a legendary punk band, then quickly left the stage. Fans of Mana look forward to the next time Mana’s Not Dead will perform.
Mana Currently Producing New Artist Kanon Wakeshima
Moi dix Mois' Mana is currently producing a new artist. Kanon Wakeshima is a vocalist and classically trained cellist who has been playing cello since the age of three. Mana is responsible for the composition, programming and arrangement and Kanon writes the lyrics. Her debut single, still doll, is featured as the ending theme for the anime series "Vampire Knight”.
